Hey Folks,
As the final hand-in is just round the corner I'm certainly screaming (internally of course).

After putting the character to the side, this week It was time to get the eagle warrior complete. It had been a while since I had working on this character I knew it would take a while to get back into the project.

Furthermore, I knew there were still a number of assets to create, this would all take time, which was running out faster than water.
Despite my thoughts, I went to work first by salvaging all the interesting elements of the character, and making a note of them. With this complete, I grounded my reference images and began adding a few more assets that I felt would look more visually interesting, such as:
- an new head ring
-chin gold
-bracelet
-lion cloth & skirt
-cape.

The loincloth was particularly hard to complete, and took a number of iterations before I was able to get it right.
I used this video of 'Kotal Kahn' from Mortal Kombat to help me:

I am glad that I made these adjustments, especially because they make, my eagle warrior, stand out a lot more, than before, which is the most important step.
Once complete, I had to make a few more tweaks to my Zbrush sculpt, however, once complete, It was time to move to retopologizing my mesh.

This took a while for the objects with the most unique silhouettes, furthermore I was aiming to get the character to a 30k triangle budget.

I knew this would take a while to get right, but it would pay off in the end, and hopefully impress potential employers, by showing them, that I can make game ready characters.
At the end of the week, I had the low poly created for the character and even started baking. Soon he will be an aztec God.

Next week, I will be texturing this character and starting my Conquistador character.

Gotta stay strong I can do this!
